Busy House Reset Checklist
A simple reset for days when the house feels like it’s winning. Pick 10 minutes or 30. Either counts.

Start here
Set a timer. Grab a trash bag + a basket. Don’t overthink it.
Phase 1: Clear the chaos (5–10 min)
- ☐ Trash grab (counters, coffee table, bathroom)
- ☐ Dishes: load dishwasher or stack neatly (no shame piles)
- ☐ Laundry: one basket only (start a load if you can)
- ☐ Floor sweep: toys, shoes, bags into the “drop basket”
Phase 2: Make it feel clean (10–15 min)
- ☐ Wipe kitchen counters + table (fast pass)
- ☐ Quick sink reset (hot water + soap + wipe)
- ☐ Bathroom reset: wipe sink + mirror + quick toilet swipe
- ☐ One floor pass: vacuum high-traffic areas only
Phase 3: Set tomorrow up (5 min)
- ☐ Make the “launch pad” (keys, backpacks, shoes in one spot)
- ☐ Reset one hot zone (kitchen counter OR couch area)
- ☐ Pick 1 thing to prep: coffee, snacks, outfits, lunches
- ☐ Put the drop basket somewhere visible (deal with it later)
