Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken tenders or breast cut into strips
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • cooking spray

Method

  1. Set up three shallow bowls: flour with salt and pepper in the first, beaten eggs in the second, panko mixed with garlic powder and paprika in the third.
  2. Coat each chicken tender in flour, then egg, then panko. Press the panko firmly so it sticks.
  3. Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes.
  4. Place tenders in a single layer in the basket. Spray lightly with cooking spray.
  5. Cook at 400°F for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  6. Check that internal temperature reaches 165°F. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket — cook in batches if needed. A light spray of cooking oil on the breading before cooking gives an extra golden crust. Internal temperature should reach 165°F.
