Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup milk any type
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup fruit of choice berries, banana, etc.

Method

  1. Combine oats, milk, yogurt, chia seeds, and sweetener in a mason jar or container.
  2. Stir well, making sure the chia seeds are distributed evenly.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  4. In the morning, stir and add fruit and any additional toppings.
  5. Eat cold straight from the jar or microwave for 1 to 2 minutes if you prefer it warm.

Notes

Overnight oats keep in the fridge for up to 5 days. Make 5 jars on Sunday night and breakfast is handled for the entire work week. Old-fashioned oats work best — quick oats get too mushy.
